I’m 40 next year and I’ve got two young kids. So it’s no surprise I’m prone to a bit of nostalgia at the moment. Now Boy Wonder is full of conversation and questions, I find myself regularly telling him about my childhood, my likes and dislikes at his age. Football, Raleigh bikes, Tonka trucks and cartoon heroes.
Five years ago today, the Duchess and I were wed. This morning, I marked the anniversary with a lovely breakfast. I had a big bowl of cereal, hot, buttery toast and a glass of fresh orange. Sitting opposite me, smiling and occasionally cuddling up to me, the Boy Wonder had Shreddies and my orange juice whenever I wasn’t looking.

This series seems to have been on all year. It’s certainly spanned the birth of Little Buddha, so for the first five or six shows we were often watching it from behind a cushion but also willing the little blighter to get a move on so we could enjoy the euphoria unfolding before us.
